Large hotel set in a beautiful park just at the entrance of Navarrete, a short drive from the main road. Easy check in and really nice lady at the reception. Large triple room - actually 2 rooms separated by the entrance lobby and the bathroom, which made it really more private for the 3 of us (couple and teen). Comfortable beds, AC. What made it is the park! Such a great place for a run or for playing with a dog. Local restaurants around Navarrete - a stop over for pilgrims on the St James of Compostella Way - were 10 minutes walk from the hotel - the restaurant in the hotel was fully booked unfortunately, and we woke up too late to even have breakfast so did so in town, plenty of options. The town and area are full of history too for those with the interest and time to explore and discover.

Everything: ample private parking, superb gardens to walk the dogs, check in perfect, room spacious and very clean. Dinner was excellent - free tapas to start, excellent lamb chops and pork steaks, big servings of local Rioja wine and very good value ( lamb 15 Euros, pork medallions 7 Euros ). Breakfast is plentiful - cerals, yoghurt, fruits, bread, croissants, pain au chocolat and some hot food, not much but scrambled egg and bacon. Room very quiet at the back of the property, nice views to the countryside. Short walk to the village if you need any emergency provisions. The hotel is only a few minutes off the motorway. The maitre d' is the restaurant is a character and very helpful as we succeeded to communicate without knowing each others language.

A good stopover hotel on the way from Alicante to Bilbao. Convenient for a midday ferry the day after. Clean and comfortable good size room with lots of hot water, easy heating/air-con controls, internet and serve yourself breakfast. Plenty of parking, dogs allowed and good dog walking in the hotel grounds. Village of Navarrete in easy walking distance for an evening meal. Quiet but with easy access to autopista.

Lovely grounds. Attractive hotel. Lovely, welcoming staff. Spotlessly clean. Good sized room. Extremely good value for money. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast every morning which we paid for separately at the hotel. Very reasonably priced bar too. This is an authentically Spanish hotel in a very beautiful area. The staff spoke English.

This is our second visit, this time we had an evening meal also breakfast both were very nice and well priced. This hotel is perfect for a one night stop over for the journey back to the UK, close to the motorway and close to the Bilbao ferry terminal. Also, we are thinking of using this hotel as a base for travelling around northern Spain.
